Each conversation tab keeps its own transcript, in-flight run, input recall, and model selection. All tabs share one open workspace, active provider, and provider credentials.

Each tab has its own conversation transcript. The workspace and provider are shared, while each tab can select its own model.
Use Ctrl on Windows and Linux, or Cmd on macOS.

History

Fella starts a fresh conversation when it launches. A conversation is archived locally as soon as an exchange settles, then updated after later turns and renames. The history sidebar is open by default. Use it to:
  • Search conversation titles, previews, and workspace paths.
  • Reopen a conversation in a tab.
  • Rename or delete a conversation.
  • Start a new conversation.
Press Ctrl+B or use the title-bar button to toggle the sidebar. Its open or closed state persists across launches. The main screens also have direct shortcuts: Ctrl+Shift+A for Ask, Ctrl+Shift+S for Sources, Ctrl+Shift+C for Context, and Ctrl+, for Settings. Ctrl+O opens the folder picker. On macOS, use Cmd in place of Ctrl. Slash commands provide the same basic listing and reopen workflow:
Conversation archives retain the workspace path, messages and embedded evidence, and an optional custom title. Reopening one remounts its saved folder when the path still exists. Deleting an archived conversation also closes its live tab if it is open.

Focus mode

/focus or Ctrl+Shift+F hides the title bar and sidebar for a plain view. Esc still stops an active run first; otherwise it collapses open evidence folds.

Retry and correction

Use /retry after a transient provider failure or after switching models. It repeats the latest non-command question in the current conversation. While a run is live, submitting a plain-text correction cancels the current run and re-asks with the correction appended.

Update manually

Fella checks for a newer release only when you ask. It verifies the downloaded installer against the release checksum before applying it and never performs a background update check.
